Welcome
I have been researching my family history for about 25 years. During that time I have accumulated an office full of dead trees. I finally decided to do something about it thus, the idea for Robertson-Gorrie dot Com was born, although it’s going to take time to add all the info I have collected. Having had issues with the web server host it is now going to take longer as the problems have spurred me on to giving the site a makeover.
Where does the domain name come from ?
Robertson is my maiden name, it is also the maiden name of my husband’s grandmother. At this stage we don’t think that there is a link…maybe when I actually start on tracing my husband’s family I will find a relationship somewhere way back….
Now that my Dad has caught the genealogy bug, I have decided to put our combined efforts together and put up a website and hopefully add a few more branches to our tree. If you find a link please let us know. If a family is listed but has no info it just means that I have not yet transcribed it.
This site is always under construction, as each family is added a link will be created from that particular surname. If you are looking for info and it has not yet been linked please email me.
Thanks to those people who have contributed information which has been or will be included on this site. Sandra, Ann, and Darryl Lightfoot who wrote a wonderful book called “A Cow and a Haypress” The Story of William and Sarah Gill of Woodville.
If you would like to contribute any information, please email me.

The site is having a makeover – mainly to make updating it faster. It will also make it easier for you to search for info, and to communicate with me and allow commenting on my posts.
Photos are thumbnails – clicking on the photo will bring up a larger version of it.
Have a great day.
Kaz Robertson-Gorrie
